Nurse Nikki

Nurse Nikki loves subtle volume in the right places for maximum benefit!
As we head into our glory years, we start to notice subtle changes in the way our face is shaped and how certain curves shift over time. Fat pads begin to move forward, we lose bone density (especially around the jaw), and our skin starts to lose a little laxity.
In the past, overfilling cheeks and jaws was the common approach to address these changes, but this often resulted in unnatural facial shapes and exaggerated curves where there shouldn’t be any. It became noticeable and gave volumising treatments a bit of a bad reputation.
That’s not how volumising treatments should be used. Today, refinement and technique have evolved to create subtle, effective, and refreshing results, the kind that make people say, “You look well-rested!” rather than, “Have you had something done?”
One of my favourite areas for subtle volume to lift the mid-face is the hollow in front of the ear. It might sound like a strange area, but as we lose bone and fat here, a touch of gentle volume can create a hidden lift that softens and refreshes without being obvious.
Gone are the days of the “pillow face.” We’re now in the era of subtle, natural, and effective volumisation, treatments that build confidence and have people asking where you’ve just been on holiday, not what you’ve had done.

Meet Nurse Maddie Bishop – What I Love & Why!
As a registered nurse working for over 13 years in the cosmetic industry, I’ve seen a wonderful shift – away from the overfilled look of the past and towards regenerative treatments that focus on long-term skin health and natural beauty.
I love treatments that stimulate collagen, elastin, hydration, and natural fat support – the key elements that keep skin firm, radiant, and youthful. These regenerative approaches work with your body to slow the ageing process, supporting stronger, healthier skin from within.
There are now so many incredible regenerative options available, each designed to help the skin repair, rebuild, and glow naturally. One of my personal favourites is Rejuran, which helps restore that fresh, supple quality in a subtle, natural-looking way. I love that Rejuran can be used for the under the eyes – as this area often ages prematurely and treatment options can be limited. I have personally had my first treatment to this area recently and am excited to see the results over time.
What I love most about regenerative treatments is that there’s no harsh “quick fix” – just gradual, healthy improvement that looks and feels authentic. With so many options available it’s never been a more important time to chat with your practitioner to find the treatment that best suits you, your goals and your lifestyle.
I am passionate about helping my patients to feel their best, most confident selves while maintaining their natural beauty.

What treatment do I love performing?
When we reach perimenopause or menopause, many of us start to notice subtle changes, lips that feel a little thinner, drier or less defined than they once were. It’s not your imagination; hormonal shifts and collagen changes can affect the delicate lip area just like the rest of our skin.
That’s why I love performing lip enhancement and hydration treatments. Done thoughtfully, these treatments can help restore softness, balance, and hydration which enhances the natural lip shape rather than changing it.
I love this treatment because I understand it personally being in my early 40s and starting to notice these changes myself.
The right approach always begins with a personalised consultation to assess what’s suitable for you!

What treatment do I love performing?
Menopause hit me early, and with it came all the unwelcome signs of ageing skin – loss of collagen, dehydrated, dry skin with fine lines, and shrinking lips. In my 30s, there was little available to treat premature ageing, so when a revolutionary skin-boosting treatment launched in 2009, I was thrilled.
Why? Because it does three things at once – softens fine and medium lines, deeply hydrates by drawing water into the tissues, and strengthens thinning collagen fibres – our skin’s scaffolding. A true three-in-one. No wonder it’s still the gold standard in skin boosting today.
I love it because I’ve lived it. As the clinical trainer who introduced this treatment across Australia and New Zealand, I was one of the first to experience it. It didn’t make me look “done” or overfilled — just naturally fresher, more hydrated, and confident again. That’s what I share with my peri-and post-menopausal clients: not just the theory and science, but proof from my own skin-ageing journey.
Sixteen years on, I still trust this treatment – and so do hundreds of my clients. The proof is in my own results, as well as in the many satisfied, returning clients who came in with realistic expectations and left with genuine confidence.
If there’s ever been a “poster girl” for this clever older-girl-power product, it’s me!
