Salicylic Peel

Dissolve dead skin cells & reduce inflammation with a Salicylic Peel

Superficial chemical peel treatments in Noosa for acne, clogged pores and congested skin. Beta-hydroxy acid dissolves dead cells and reduces inflammation.

The Salicylic Peel represents one of the most effective and gentle approaches to treating acne-prone and congested skin. As a beta-hydroxy acid (BHA), salicylic acid possesses unique oil-soluble properties that allow it to penetrate deep into pores, making it particularly effective for addressing blackheads, whiteheads, and stubborn congestion that other treatments may struggle to reach.

This superficial chemical peel works by gently dissolving the bonds between dead skin cells. It helps clear blocked pores while reducing the inflammation and redness commonly associated with acne breakouts.

Unlike harsher peels, the Salicylic Peel offers a more comfortable treatment experience while delivering significant results. Its anti-inflammatory properties make it suitable for sensitive skin types, and its gentle nature means it can be used regularly as part of an ongoing skin improvement programme.

The treatment is particularly beneficial for those with oily or combination skin, as it helps regulate oil production whilst improving overall skin texture and clarity. Additionally, the Salicylic Peel offers brightening and hydrating benefits, making it an excellent choice for individuals seeking comprehensive skin improvement beyond acne treatment alone.

A Salicylic peel is perfect for:

  • Acne or acne prone skin

  • Clogged pores

  • Congested skin

  • Improving skin quality

  • Brightening and hydrating the skin

These benefits make the Salicylic Peel an ideal starting point for those new to chemical peels or seeking a gentler approach to skin improvement. Its versatility allows it to address multiple concerns whilst being suitable for regular use as part of a comprehensive skincare regimen.

Treatment Approach

The Salicylic Peel utilises the unique penetrating properties of beta-hydroxy acid to target congestion at its source within the pores. This oil-soluble acid works progressively to dissolve dead skin cells and sebum buildup whilst reducing inflammation and redness. The gentle yet effective formulation allows for regular treatments, creating cumulative improvements in skin clarity, texture, and overall health with minimal discomfort or downtime.

Here are some FAQ's about Salicylic Peel. If you have any other questions, please give us a call or request a Consultation today.

Your skin may look as if it has had a moderate sunburn. It can also appear pinker than normal before peeling starts to occur.

Generally, clients take roughly a week to heal from the Salicylic Peel. During the healing process there is minimal discomfort, mostly your skin will feel tight, dry and itchy during the peeling phase.

You will NOT be suitable for a Salicylic Peel if you identify with any of the below:
• If you have a history of keloid or abnormal scarring
• Those with skin diseases and disorders (i.e. eczema, psoriasis, perioral dermatitis)
• If you have allergies to aspirin, milk, salicylic acid, lactic acid or resorcinol
• If you are sick, have a serious medical condition or are recovering from a serious illness
• If you are pregnant or lactating
• If you have sunburnt or fake tanned skin
• If you have taken Roaccutane in the last 6 months

The time it takes to see results depends on the skin’s condition to start with and the type of concern we are treating. A series of peels is recommend for targeting blackheads and congestion with best results seen after 2-3 peels.

For severe acne approximately 6 peels are usually recommended. After just one peel you will notice a smoother, softer complexion, decreased oil production and less breakouts and congestion from around day 10.

A Salicylic Peel can be done every 2 to 4 weeks. We recommend a series of treatments for best results.
