Volumising Lip Treatments
Sunshine Coast Skin Care: Lip Treatments
Restore lost volume, add soft pouty volume or redefine your lips with Lip Treatment
Volumising Lip Treatments use soft, gel-based products designed specifically for the unique tissue of the lips. We offer a range of formulations with varying levels of structure and softness to suit different lip goals, from subtle definition to more noticeable volume. During your consultation, your practitioner will assess your facial features, discuss your preferences, and recommend the most suitable option to achieve a balanced and natural-looking result that aligns with your personal aesthetic.
How Lip Treatment Works
Volumising Lip Treatments work by injecting a substance, usually “HA”, into the lips. “HA” is a natural substance found in the body that helps keep skin hydrated and voluminous. When injected into the lips, it adds volume, shape, and structure. The effects are temporary as the body eventually absorbs the “HA”, typically over several months. The process is customisable, allowing for various results based on the amount and type of product used.

Lip Treatments Before and After Photos
In accordance with the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) advertising code and the requirements set out by our regulatory body, AHPRA, we are unable to display before-and-after images of prescription-based cosmetic treatments on our website or social media platforms.
We completely understand how valuable these images can be when exploring treatment options and setting realistic expectations. That’s why we’re happy to share relevant examples during an in-clinic consultation.
At your consultation, one of our experienced Registered Nurses will walk you through the treatment process, explain what to expect, show you real client case studies, and tailor a personalised plan to your unique goals, preferences, and features.
Pricing for Lip Treatments
Due to TGA advertising regulations and AHPRA guidelines, we are unable to advertise the product’s brand name or provide unit-based or per-syringe pricing publicly. This is because wrinkle-reducing treatments involve prescribed medications, which must be discussed in a clinical context and with appropriate medical oversight.
To ensure you receive the safest and most suitable outcome, we offer in-person consultations and assessments with our experienced Registered Nurses.
During your visit, we’ll take the time to understand your goals, assess your facial structure and create a tailored treatment plan. From there, we’ll provide a clear quotation aligned with your unique needs, budget, and preferences, always with your safety and natural result in mind.

Here are some FAQ's about Volumising Lip Treatments. If you have any other questions, please give us a call or request a Consultation today.
Are Volumising Lip Treatments safe?
When considering any aesthetic treatment, it is important to be informed about potential risks and to consider two key factors: the safety of the treatment process and the qualifications, training, and experience of the person performing it. Taking time to research your options is strongly recommended.
All medical procedures carry possible side‑effects, which will be discussed with you during your consultation. Treatments designed to restore or enhance facial features use a smooth gel‑based material placed beneath the skin. As with any procedure of this nature, temporary effects such as swelling, bruising, lumpiness or mild discomfort can occur and generally resolve within a few days with simple aftercare. In rare cases, more significant side‑effects such as infection, allergic reaction, granuloma, or tissue injury have been reported, and in extremely rare circumstances, visual changes or vision loss have been documented.
At The Cosmetic Studio Noosa, our team is trained in emergency response and the management of all adverse events in line with recognised clinical safety guidelines. We follow strict protocols for safe treatment delivery and medical management should a complication arise. At your initial consultation, and at least every 12 months thereafter, you will have a consultation with one of our supervising medical practitioners, who will review your medical history, current medications, and any allergies or health conditions that may affect your suitability for treatment.
Our clinical team undergoes ongoing professional development and participates in regular in‑clinic safety and skills training. We also stay current with industry safety standards and emergency protocols through professional memberships and conference attendance. For your safety, we only use products and devices supplied via approved Australian therapeutic channels and with established safety profiles.
How long will my treatment take?
Depending on the area being treated and the product selected, most Volumising Treatments can be completed within a 30 to 60 minute appointment. In some cases, you may be asked to arrive earlier so a topical anaesthetic cream can be applied to enhance comfort.
What happens to the volumising treatment result once the product has gone?
Over time, the gel-based substance used in Volumising Treatments is gradually broken down by the body. To maintain your results, we recommend scheduling follow-up appointments before the effects have fully worn off. This approach helps preserve the structure and supports longer-lasting outcomes.
If you decide not to continue with further treatments, your skin will gradually return to its original state without adverse effects such as overstretching. In fact, studies and clinical experience suggest that even a single treatment may stimulate natural collagen production, which can enhance skin tone and texture. As a result, the treated area may appear softer and more refined than before.
What will I look like immediately after my treatment?
You will notice some side effects that will only last for about a few days. We will discuss these potential side effects in detail with you and advise how you can prevent them from occurring. The most likely side effects (if any) post a Volumising Lip Treatment session includes the following:
Swelling:
When swelling is experienced with this treatment, it usually subsides within 24 to 48 hours. Our experts will advise you on how to prevent swelling once your treatment is complete.
Bruising:
Bruising is a potential risk when the skin is exposed to any procedure that involves penetration. Most of the time the bruises are very small and can be easily covered with mineral makeup. There are certain medicines that increase the bruising occurrence and you will be notified about these prior to your treatment.
Tenderness:
It is quite normal to feel a mild tenderness at the treatment site after having the Volumising Lip Treatment. It is also easily manageable by simply taking a mild pain relief medication such as paracetamol. Other measures include applying ice to the treated area to reduce bruising or swelling, avoiding sauna, spas, strenuous exercise, and certain medicines. The post treatment care information will be explained in detail after your treatment is completed.
When can I have volumising treatment treatment?
After your consultation, you’ll be offered a customised treatment plan. You might like to consider the options and then re-book an appointment for another visit, or you can begin the treatment on the same day (if time permits).
When should I come back to the studio?
Once your Volumising Lip Treatment is complete, we will give you instructions regarding your aftercare. If you have any questions or concerns we encourage you to call the clinic and speak with one of our clinicians. You can also book a review or follow up appointment two weeks after your treatment at no further cost.
How much will a volumising treatment cost?
As the ingredients are prescribed medicines, we cannot name the product by its known brand name or list unit or syringe pricing, as per TGA advertising codes and our regulating body, AHPRA.
We offer consultations and assessments with our registered Nurses to determine how to achieve an optimal result for you.
What does the procedure involve?
• Clients are asked to avoid alcohol and blood thinning medications 7 days prior to treatment to prevent bruising
• It is strongly advised that you don’t wear makeup or foundation prior to your treatment as makeup can harbour bacteria.
• After thoroughly cleaning your skin a strong topical Anaesthetic cream is applied half an hour prior to the treatment to ensure client comfort
• Hospital grade antiseptic solution is used to clean the skin prior to treatments
• During the treatment the product is injected into the skin in small amounts using varying techniques to achieve best results
• Ice is applied during and immediately after to help reduce potential swelling and bruising
• Your skin is thoroughly cleansed again and arnica cream may be applied to finish
• Most treatments take approximately half an hour to one hour, however time will vary depending on the area being treated. We also usually recommend for you to come in approximately half an hour before your appointment to have numbing cream applied to the areas.
How does lip treatment dissolving work?
Lip enhancement treatments, typically made from gel-based formulations, gradually break down over time as the body naturally metabolises the product.
This process is influenced by individual factors such as metabolism and lifestyle. The results usually last several months, after which the added volume slowly diminishes and the lips return to their original appearance.
How long does a Volumising Lip Treatment take?
A Volumising Lip Treatment will take approximately 1 hour. This includes 30 minutes of consulting time to formulate the right look for you as well as applying a topical anaesthetic to the area.
Will a lip treatment hurt?
To ensure your treatment is as comfortable as possible, we first apply our powerful numbing cream to your lips. All our Volumising Lip Treatments also come loaded with local anaesthetic, which makes this a very comfortable treatment.
How long does a lip treatment last?
Volumising Lip Treatments can last from 8-12 months* However, longevity is client dependant.
