Treatment Approach
Our volumising treatments use prescription-only procedures to help restore facial structure, improve symmetry, and enhance natural contours. Whether you are looking to address hollowing in the cheeks, loss of volume under the eyes, or refine the appearance of the lips and jawline, each treatment plan is carefully tailored to suit your individual facial anatomy and aesthetic goals. We focus on subtle, artistic application, following the principle that less can often achieve more, to ensure results that are balanced, natural-looking, and suited to graceful ageing.
Volumising Treatments Before and After Photos
In accordance with the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) advertising code and the requirements set out by our regulatory body, AHPRA, we are unable to display before-and-after images of prescription-based cosmetic treatments on our website or social media platforms.
We completely understand how valuable these images can be when exploring treatment options and setting realistic expectations. That’s why we’re happy to share relevant examples during an in-clinic consultation.
At your consultation, one of our experienced Registered Nurses will walk you through the treatment process, explain what to expect, show you real client case studies, and tailor a personalised plan to your unique goals, preferences, and features.
Pricing for Volumising Treatments
Due to TGA advertising regulations and AHPRA guidelines, we are unable to advertise the product’s brand name or provide unit-based or per-syringe pricing publicly. This is because wrinkle-reducing treatments involve prescribed medications, which must be discussed in a clinical context and with appropriate medical oversight.
To ensure you receive the safest and most suitable outcome, we offer in-person consultations and assessments with our experienced Registered Nurses.
During your visit, we’ll take the time to understand your goals, assess your facial structure and create a tailored treatment plan. From there, we’ll provide a clear quotation aligned with your unique needs, budget, and preferences, always with your safety and natural result in mind.

Here are some FAQ's about Volumising Treatments. If you have any other questions, please give us a call or request a Consultation today.
Are Volumising Treatments Safe?
When considering any aesthetic treatment, it is important to be informed about potential risks and to consider two key factors: the safety of the treatment process and the qualifications, training, and experience of the person performing it. Taking time to research your options is strongly recommended.
All medical procedures carry possible side‑effects, which will be discussed with you during your consultation. Treatments designed to restore or enhance facial features use a smooth gel‑based material placed beneath the skin. As with any procedure of this nature, temporary effects such as swelling, bruising, lumpiness or mild discomfort can occur and generally resolve within a few days with simple aftercare. In rare cases, more significant side‑effects such as infection, allergic reaction, granuloma, or tissue injury have been reported, and in extremely rare circumstances, visual changes or vision loss have been documented.
At The Cosmetic Studio Noosa, our team is trained in emergency response and the management of all adverse events in line with recognised clinical safety guidelines. We follow strict protocols for safe treatment delivery and medical management should a complication arise. At your initial consultation, and at least every 12 months thereafter, you will have a consultation with one of our supervising medical practitioners, who will review your medical history, current medications, and any allergies or health conditions that may affect your suitability for treatment.
Our clinical team undergoes ongoing professional development and participates in regular in‑clinic safety and skills training. We also stay current with industry safety standards and emergency protocols through professional memberships and conference attendance. For your safety, we only use products and devices supplied via approved Australian therapeutic channels and with established safety profiles.
How long will my treatment take?
Depending on the area being treated and the product selected, most Volumising Treatments can be completed within a 30 to 60 minute appointment. In some cases, you may be asked to arrive a little earlier so that a topical anaesthetic cream can be applied to enhance comfort.
What happens to the product, and what are the results once the treatment product is gone?
Over time, the gel-based substance used in Volumising Treatments is naturally broken down by the body. To help maintain your desired results, we may recommend follow-up appointments before the effects fully wear off. This supports longer-lasting outcomes and helps preserve the overall structure achieved. If you choose not to continue treatment, your skin will gradually return to its previous state without adverse effects such as overstretching. Clinical observations and studies suggest that even a single treatment may help stimulate natural collagen, which can improve skin tone and texture. As a result, the area may appear softer or more refined than before treatment.
What will I look like immediately after my treatment?
You will notice some side effects that only last a few days. We will discuss these potential side effects in detail with you and advise how you can prevent them from occurring. The most likely side effects (if any) post a Volumising Treatment session include the following:
Swelling:
When swelling occurs with this treatment, it usually subsides within 24 to 48 hours. Once your treatment is complete, our experts will advise you on how to prevent swelling.
Bruising:
Bruising is a potential risk when the skin is exposed to any procedure that involves penetration. Most of the time, the bruises are tiny and can be easily covered with mineral makeup. Certain medicines increase bruising, and you will be notified about them before your treatment.
Tenderness:
It is expected to feel a mild tenderness at the treatment site after the volumising treatment. It is also easily manageable by simply taking a mild pain relief medication such as paracetamol. Other measures include applying ice to the treated area to reduce bruising or swelling and avoiding saunas, spas, strenuous exercise, and certain medicines. The post-treatment care information will be explained in detail after completing your treatment.
When can I have a Volumising Treatment?
After your consultation, you’ll be offered a customised treatment plan. You might like to consider the options and then re-book an appointment for another visit, or you can begin the treatment on the same day (if time permits).
When should I come back to the studio?
Once your volumising treatment is complete, we will give you instructions regarding your aftercare. If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to call the clinic and speak with one of our clinicians. You can also book a review or follow-up appointment two weeks after your treatment at no further cost.
Will Volumising Treatments hurt?
This is one of the most frequently asked questions, as gel-based volumising treatments are applied beneath the skin using a fine-tipped device. It’s natural for some people to feel anxious due to a fear of needles or a previous unpleasant experience.
We understand this at The Cosmetic Studio Noosa, so it’s our priority to ensure that our clients feel at ease and comfortable while undergoing their treatments.
We offer a variety of comfort measures to help reduce any discomfort during your Volumising Treatment. These include topical numbing creams, cooling with ice packs, and simple but effective distraction techniques. Many of the gel-based products we use also contain a built-in local anaesthetic to further enhance comfort during the procedure. As part of your aftercare, we’ll even send you home with an icy pole to soothe the area and support recovery.
Will I still look like me? I don’t want to look plastic or weird!
You will certainly still look like you, only a fresher and more youthful version. In most cases, we are not adding anything that you didn’t already have. We aim to restore, replenish, enhance, and rejuvenate your skin. We work by the adage ‘Less is More’.
How much will a Volumising Treatment cost?
As the ingredients are prescribed medicines, we cannot name the product by its known brand name or list unit or syringe pricing, as per TGA advertising codes and our regulating body, AHPRA.
We offer consultations and assessments with our registered Nurses to determine how to achieve an optimal result for you.
How long will the results last?
How long a treatment product lasts can be very individual. Longevity can depend on factors such as age, skin type, your skin’s condition and the severity of laxity. Lifestyle factors that markedly reduce your skin’s ability to hold the product longer, e.g. stress, smoking, excessive drug or alcohol consumption and sun damage. If we use larger, thicker product, the longevity can range from 10-18 months.
These treatment products can also thicken and strengthen your collagen support structures and draw water to themselves, making them last longer in your tissues.
Noticing hollow areas, softened definition, or a change in facial balance?
Let’s create a personalised plan to gently restore volume and support where it’s needed most, helping you look refreshed while still feeling like yourself.
