Sunshine Coast Skin Care: Hand Treatments
Restore Volume and Rejuvenate the Look of Your Hands
At The Cosmetic Studio Noosa, we understand that maintaining a youthful, refreshed appearance goes beyond facial aesthetics. The hands are often one of the first areas to show signs of ageing, including volume loss, visible veins, and skin texture changes.
Our Hand Treatments are designed to improve skin hydration, restore volume, and soften the appearance of age-related changes. Using smooth, gel-based formulations tailored for delicate skin, this treatment helps rejuvenate the hands for a more balanced and revitalised look.
Treatment Overview
Results are seen immediately, but collagen stimulation can improve the hands texture and luminosity over 3-4 weeks.
Treatment takes only 45 minutes, including, pre-consultation,15 minutes numbing cream and aftercare.
There is minimal to no discomfort and down time with this treatment.
The cost will depend on how many syringes are needed to achieve an optimal correction. This will be discussed at your consultation. One syringe starts at $450. 1-3 syringes may be needed and spaced at monthly intervals.
Hand rejuvenation is a quick, low-downtime procedure designed to restore volume, smooth fine lines, and improve skin texture. During your consultation, we will assess your hands for volume loss and skin quality to determine the most appropriate treatment plan.
To enhance comfort, a topical numbing cream is applied prior to treatment. Visible improvements are typically noticeable immediately, with additional benefits from collagen stimulation developing gradually in the weeks that follow.
Treatment Approach
We assess the skin thickness, visible veins, and volume loss across the backs of your hands to determine the ideal placement and quantity of treatment product. Treatment is designed to restore natural plumpness and hydration while smoothing surface wrinkles and improving skin tone. You’ll walk away with hands that look youthful, soft, and confidently elegant.
Hand Treatments Before and After Photos
In accordance with the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) advertising code and the requirements set out by our regulatory body, AHPRA, we are unable to display before-and-after images of prescription-based cosmetic treatments on our website or social media platforms.
We completely understand how valuable these images can be when exploring treatment options and setting realistic expectations. That’s why we’re happy to share relevant examples during an in-clinic consultation.
At your consultation, one of our experienced Registered Nurses will walk you through the treatment process, explain what to expect, show you real client case studies, and tailor a personalised plan to your unique goals, preferences, and features.
Pricing for Hand Treatments
Due to TGA advertising regulations and AHPRA guidelines, we are unable to advertise the product’s brand name or provide unit-based or per-syringe pricing publicly. This is because wrinkle-reducing treatments involve prescribed medications, which must be discussed in a clinical context and with appropriate medical oversight.
To ensure you receive the safest and most suitable outcome, we offer in-person consultations and assessments with our experienced Registered Nurses.
During your visit, we’ll take the time to understand your goals, assess your facial structure and create a tailored treatment plan. From there, we’ll provide a clear quotation aligned with your unique needs, budget, and preferences, always with your safety and natural result in mind.
Understanding Hand Aging
Thinning skin, volume loss, and sun damage cause hands to age faster than other areas. Discover how targeted treatments can reverse these visible signs of ageing.
Why hands reveal your age first
The natural ageing process doesn’t only affect the face — our hands are often one of the first areas to reveal age-related changes.
Over time, the skin on the hands can appear thinner, with more visible veins, fine lines, and a loss of youthful volume. Sun exposure, gradual fat loss, and cumulative skin damage contribute to a bony or aged appearance.
Our Hand Rejuvenation treatments are designed to improve the overall texture and volume of the hands, helping to soften the appearance of veins and wrinkles while enhancing skin hydration and quality. This treatment involves the precise placement of a soft, gel-based formulation beneath the skin’s surface to restore a smoother, fuller appearance.
Some clients may also notice improvements in skin tone and elasticity over time due to collagen-supporting activity.
This is a non-surgical option with minimal downtime, suitable for individuals looking to refresh the appearance of their hands without invasive procedures.
During your consultation, our experienced practitioners will assess your hands and recommend a personalised treatment plan based on your skin condition and aesthetic goals.
What is Hand Rejuvenation?
Hand rejuvenating treatment is a precise, cosmetic treatment that restores lost volume and smooths wrinkles, giving hands a plumper, healthier, and more youthful appearance.
The science behind younger-looking hands
Hand rejuvenation treatments are used to restore volume and improve the appearance of ageing hands. This involves the precise application of gel-based formulations to targeted areas for a smoother, more youthful look.
This process restores lost volume, improves skin texture, and reduces the visibility of veins and tendons, countering the effects of aging.
Hand rejuvenating products are popular for their immediate and noticeable results, which provide hands with a more youthful and plump appearance.
The treatment is minimally invasive, involves little to no downtime, and can last from several months to over a year, depending on the type of product used and individual patient factors.
It’s an effective solution for those seeking to reverse the signs of aging in their hands without undergoing surgery.
Benefits of Hand Rejuvenation
From reducing wrinkles and hiding veins to softening skin texture, hand rejuvenation treatments transform the look and feel of your hands with natural, elegant results.
More than skin deep: restores confidence too
Hand rejuvenation significantly improves hand appearance. By restoring volume, they reduce the visibility of bones, tendons, and veins, mitigating the aged ‘claw’ effect.
These products also smooth wrinkles and fine lines, creating a more youthful look.
Additionally, the products used enhance skin hydration, leading to softer and more supple hands. This treatment aligns the hands’ aesthetic with facial features, ensuring a consistently youthful appearance.
The result is hands that complement other adorned features, such as jewellery, and are confidently shown off.

Here are some FAQ's about Hand Treatments. If you have any other questions, please give us a call or request a Consultation today.
Are Hand Treatments safe?
When considering any aesthetic treatment, it is important to be informed about potential risks and to consider two key factors: the safety of the treatment process and the qualifications, training, and experience of the person performing it. Taking time to research your options is strongly recommended.
All medical procedures carry possible side‑effects, which will be discussed with you during your consultation. Treatments designed to restore or enhance facial features use a smooth gel‑based material placed beneath the skin. As with any procedure of this nature, temporary effects such as swelling, bruising, lumpiness or mild discomfort can occur and generally resolve within a few days with simple aftercare. In rare cases, more significant side‑effects such as infection, allergic reaction, granuloma, or tissue injury have been reported, and in extremely rare circumstances, visual changes or vision loss have been documented.
At The Cosmetic Studio Noosa, our team is trained in emergency response and the management of all adverse events in line with recognised clinical safety guidelines. We follow strict protocols for safe treatment delivery and medical management should a complication arise. At your initial consultation, and at least every 12 months thereafter, you will have a consultation with one of our supervising medical practitioners, who will review your medical history, current medications, and any allergies or health conditions that may affect your suitability for treatment.
Our clinical team undergoes ongoing professional development and participates in regular in‑clinic safety and skills training. We also stay current with industry safety standards and emergency protocols through professional memberships and conference attendance. For your safety, we only use products and devices supplied via approved Australian therapeutic channels and with established safety profiles.
How long do hand rejuvenation treatments last?
The duration of hand rejuvenating products can vary, but they typically last between 6 months to 2 years. The longevity depends on factors like the type of product used, individual skin characteristics, and lifestyle. The products commonly used for hand rejuvenation, are known for their relatively long-lasting results.
Regular maintenance treatments can help prolong the effects.
What are the side effects of hand enhancement treatments?
Hand treatments are generally safe when administered by experienced professionals, but like all cosmetic procedures, they carry some risk of side effects.
Common and temporary side effects may include mild swelling, bruising, redness, tenderness, or slight itching at the treatment site.
These effects usually subside within a few days. Less commonly, small lumps or unevenness under the skin may occur but are often easily managed with massage or minor adjustment. Serious complications are rare but can include infection or vascular compromise.
Your Cosmetic Nurse will discuss all potential risks with you during your consultation and provide detailed aftercare to minimise any issues.
Where does the hand product get injected?
The human hand is a complex structure made up of bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and skin. Understanding the anatomy and composition of the hand is essential when it comes to administering hand treatment products effectively.
The hand consists of three major areas: the palm, the back of the hand, and the fingers. Each area is composed of various tissues and structures that work together to provide proper hand function.
Hand rejuvenation treatments are commonly administered to specific areas of the hand, such as the backs of the hands and the skin between the fingers. These areas often show signs of aging, including loss of volume, thinning skin, and the prominence of tendons and veins.
By targeting these specific areas, cosmetic specialists can restore volume, improve skin texture, and minimise the appearance of wrinkles and veins.
A thorough understanding of hand anatomy is essential for effective hand rejuvenation treatments. The complex structure of the hand requires precision and clinical expertise to ensure that gel-based formulations are placed accurately within the appropriate layers for safe and natural-looking results.
By considering the unique composition of each individual’s hand and customising the treatment accordingly, the Cosmetic Nurses at The Cosmetic Studio can achieve natural-looking results and enhance hand beauty effectively.
Are hand rejuvenation treatments painful?
Hand rejuvenation treatments are generally not considered painful. Most patients report only mild discomfort. The treatment products often contain a local anaesthetic to ease any potential pain during the procedure.
Additionally, topical numbing cream can be applied beforehand to minimise discomfort further. The process is typically well-tolerated.
What other treatments are available for hand rejuvenation?
Aside from hand rejuvenating products, there are various other techniques and treatments available for overall hand rejuvenation. These may include:
• Laser skin resurfacing: This procedure uses laser technology to remove the outer layer of the skin, stimulating collagen production and improving skin texture.
• Chemical peels: By applying a chemical solution to the skin, chemical peels can exfoliate and remove dead skin cells, revealing smoother and younger-looking skin.
• Intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy: IPL therapy uses high-intensity light to target and reduce the appearance of age spots, sun damage, and pigmentation issues.
• Microdermabrasion: This non-invasive procedure involves gentle exfoliation of the skin, reducing fine lines, age spots, and acne scars.
These techniques are often combined to achieve optimal results in hand rejuvenation procedures. A comprehensive consultation with a hand surgeon or cosmetic specialist will help determine the best treatment plan for each individual.
