What Are Exosomes, and Why Is Everyone Talking About Them?
In skincare, exosomes are microscopic, membrane-bound vesicles (tiny bubbles) naturally released by cells. They function as the “delivery messengers” of the cellular world.
Instead of being actual cells themselves, they carry an intensive cargo of active signals, including growth factors, peptides, amino acids and lipids. They deliver this cargo directly to skin cells.
That messenger role is why exosomes have become one of the most searched words in skincare. It is also where our new facial gets its name: the E in Opuluxe E stands for exosomes.
How Our Exosome Skin Facial with Opuluxe E Works
Why we pair exosomes with skin needling
Our Dermapen Skin Needling creates fine microchannels in the surface of the skin. These channels give the exosomes, and everything they carry, a direct path to where they are needed.
Opuluxe E comes in two parts, a powder and an activating solution. We mix them fresh just before your treatment, so the formula is at its best when it meets your skin.
What the exosomes in Opuluxe E help to do
When used in professional treatments paired with microneedling, the exosomes in Opuluxe E help to:
- Accelerate recovery: they signal skin cells to repair faster, which drastically cuts down post-treatment downtime.
- Reduce redness and inflammation: they provide immediate comfort to sensitive, irritated or highly reactive skin barriers.
- Boost radiance and texture: by promoting overall skin renewal, they help target uneven skin tone and hydration loss.
The formula also includes PDRN, niacinamide and glutathione. These work alongside the exosomes to leave skin looking brighter and more even.
Who Opuluxe E suits best
Opuluxe E is a lovely choice if your skin is sensitive, reactive, stressed or feeling depleted. It is also well suited to Pigmentation and Sun Damage, especially stubborn pigment that has hung around.
Think of it as a reset. Opuluxe E is about getting your skin calm and resilient first, so everything that follows works better.
Opuluxe V: Our Glow Focused Facial
Our Opuluxe V Facial is the one to choose when your skin is healthy and ready for a visible lift. It focuses on glowing skin quality, hydration and luminosity, plus the anti-ageing firmness behind that smooth “glass skin” finish.
It is also a favourite for dull or dehydrated skin, and for anyone who wants great skin with minimal ongoing maintenance. Like Opuluxe E, it is applied during a skin needling treatment in our clinic.
Opuluxe E vs Opuluxe V: Which One Is Best for You?
While other variations like Opuluxe V focus heavily on anti-ageing firmness and lifting, Opuluxe E is specifically formulated for intense soothing, barrier support and skin recovery. Here is how they compare at a glance.

Why many clients start with E, then move to V
If your skin is feeling stressed or reactive, going straight to a glow treatment can feel like painting over the cracks. Starting with Opuluxe E helps settle and strengthen the skin first.
Once your skin is calm and comfortable, moving on to Opuluxe V builds on that foundation. Your therapist will guide you on when the switch makes sense for you.
What to Expect on the Day and Afterwards
Your treatment
Every facial starts with a skin assessment, so we can check how your skin is behaving on the day. From there, we confirm whether E or V is the right fit before we begin.
The treatment itself is calm and structured. Most people head back to their day afterwards with skin that looks a little pink and flushed.
Your recovery timeline
In the first day or two, your skin may look red and feel warm, tight or slightly swollen. Around days three to five, it may feel dry and some light flaking can occur.
From about day five, most people notice skin that looks refreshed, smoother and more radiant. The benefits build across a course of three sessions, spaced four weeks apart.
Aftercare that protects your results
- Avoid touching your skin or applying products for at least six hours.
- For 24 to 48 hours, skip makeup, active skincare, exercise, saunas, alcohol and direct sun.
- Apply SPF 50+ every day, which matters even more under our Queensland sun.
- Avoid other facial treatments, waxing or laser for 14 days.
Adding a Healite LED session after your facial is a gentle way to give your skin extra comfort while it settles.
Why Choose Our Nurse-Led Clinic for Your Exosome Facial
We are a registered nurse-led, female-led clinic with an all-female team in Noosaville. Every plan is built around your skin, your goals and a proper assessment, never a one-size-fits-all approach.
That matters with skin needling facials, where choosing between E and V depends on how your skin is behaving right now. Whether you are working on Uneven Skin Tone and Texture or early fine lines, we will map out a plan that fits.
